Redcoats ‘Mechs are painted flat red above the waist, and off-white gradually darkening to gray below. The heads of Redcoats ‘Mechs are painted a pale blue, and a bold black “X” is painted across all Redcoat ‘Mech torsos (both front and back). The unit insignia appears where the “X”s cross and on the both sides of the head.
