All Ryuken units paint their BattleMechs charcoal gray. The Ryuken apply the Kurita dragon crest to their BattleMechs on the left leg just above the knee and near the exhaust ports of fighters. The Ryuken insignia is a dragon curling around a Katana sword, both drawn with rich detail.
The Ryuken-ni MechWarriors accent thier ‘Mechs in silver, sparingly applying the color along sharp edges to imitate the edge of a blade. The regiment’s insignia, displayed on each ‘Mech’s head is a fierce-looking feline head wearing a Japanese-style kabuto helm.
Ryuken-san warriors do not accent thier vehicles with any color. Ryuken-san warriors display the Kuritan and Ryuken crests and the Reyuken-san regimental insignia, a narrow gold line that sketches out an angular dragon’s head across each ‘Mech’s torso.
The members of Ryuken-yon adorn their ‘Mechs with dark blue accents. The regiment’s insignia is a full moon emerging from backlit clouds.
The members of Ryuken-go accent their BattleMechs and other vehicles with shiny steel-blue paint. The unit’s insignia is an eight-pointed shuriken with Japanese characters near each point. Each MechWarrior, aerospace pilot, armor lance and infantry unit chooses the characters on its signature shuriken. Typically, unit members select characters that represent their ideals of courage.
The members of Ryuken-roku accent their BattleMechs and other vehicles with red. The regimental insignia, laid directly against the gray of the vehicle, is a rough drawing of a hand holding a sword by the blade.
The members of Ryuken-hachi accent their units with gold. Some more traditional-minded samurai have begun to add ancient Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints on appropriate areas of their units to show their dedication to the new cultural revitalization in the Draconis Combine
